In his most recent position in industry, Mel Bost was a Project and Benchmark Coordinator with the Global Systems and Services Group of ConocoPhillips in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He was instrumental in developing the processes, standards and procedures for an Information Technology Program Management Office (PMO) at the merger of Conoco and Phillips in 2002. During the past decade, he has worked for five major petroleum companies including ARCO, UNOCAL, TOSCO, Phillips Petroleum and ConocoPhillips. He began his career with Ford Motor Company in product development. In the past few years, he has actively contributed to The University of Arkansas Information Technology Research Institute (ITRI) through their Project Management Roundtable and the Oklahoma State University Institute for Research in Information Systems (IRIS).Mel completed degrees in Physics and Engineering from Georgia Tech as well as an MBA from The University of Michigan.
