Tulsa Tech Fest 2013 Announce KM Track and KIPA Annual Meeting

KIPA and the Tulsa Techfest recently announced plans to include a dedicated Knowledge Management track at the October 11 event hosted by OSU Tulsa.  The all-day session will feature presentations by highly respected KM thought leaders Dr. Dan Duffy, Phil Barnett, Joe Colannino and Chuck Tryon.

Dr. Duffy recently retired as Dean of the University of Oklahoma’s School of Community Medicine.  He is highly respected for his efforts to implement the Patient-Centered Medical Home model at OU Physicians in Tulsa.  He has also been recognized as a top educator and leader.

Phil Barnett is credited with creating the highly successful Knowledge Management function at PricewaterhouseCoopers.  After resigning from PwC, Phil continues to consult with clients internationally with around KM and intellectual property concepts.

Joe Colannino is the current president of KIPA and serves as the Chief Technology Officer for Clear Sign in Seattle.  Joe brings a reputation for using KM concepts to spur innovative solutions.  He is directly responsible for a number of patents.

Chuck Tryon is an Knowledge Management educator, consultant and author.  His book “Managing Organizational Knowledge” has been praised for the innovative strategies for establishing and maintaining a KM culture in any organization.

The KM track will also include a report from three KIPA affiliated universities who offer KM educational programs.  They include North Texas University, Lipscomb University and the University of Oklahoma.  The day will conclude with the KIPA Annual Meeting.

While Tulsa Techfest is free to attend, registration is required.  Registrations are currently being accepted at  Select Track 13 for KIPA KM!  Additional information on the KIPA speakers and their presentations will be updated regularly on the Tulsa Techfest website
